A sweet stop in La Fortuna for churros with dulce de leche — warm and a favorite when they're fresh — plus traditional shaved ice and a nicely presented açaí bowl. The dulce de leche sauce and the fruit get consistent love, and prices are reasonable ($4 for two churros and dip). The churros can run dry inside, so they're best hot off the fryer.

We stopped at this sweet little dessert spot in La Fortuna and it was such a treat! Everything we ordered was delicious; a traditional Costa Rican shaved ice, an açaí bowl, and ice cream and every single item was fresh and flavorful. The shaved ice was fun and refreshing (perfect for the warm weather!), the açaí bowl was beautifully presented and tasted amazing, and the ice cream totally hit the spot. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The shop was clean and well-kept, and the prices were very reasonable for the area. Definitely a great place to cool off and grab something sweet while exploring La Fortuna. We’d happily go back!
We ordered the strawberry chocolate and dulce de leche churros. The amount and taste of the sauce was right on the dot, especially the dulce de leche. The churros did dissapoint though, as they were very dry and hard within the interior of the food.
Such a cute spot! The caramel tasted a bit off and the churro was very dry/not the freshest, but the presentation was truly lovely.
