About
A fast, filling, budget-friendly soda that's often the first stop travelers make arriving in La Fortuna. Breakfast combos come out incredibly quick — the jam-like spread on the toast is a sleeper favorite — and the casado of the day (beef or steak) arrives in generous, flavorful portions with fresh pineapple and tamarind drinks and creamy arroz con leche. It sits right on the main road, so expect some traffic noise.

This soda was a great, quick stop before a busy day. Our group of 6 stopped here for breakfast and the food was good, filling, and came out incredibly fast! It was fresh, simple food. I ordered the combo #2 and my fiancé ordered combo #3. The apple butter/strawberry jelly butter (we aren't sure what exactly it was) was DELICIOUS! It looks like ketchup, but it is not so don't be fooled. It was absolutely delicious on the toast and probably the highlight of all of our meals! Our waitress was extremely kind and provided great service.
We tried the food of the day (casado) with beef and steak, and both were absolutely mouth-watering. The portions were very generous and filling, and everything was full of flavor. Even though we arrived during rush hour, the service was quick and well organized, which we really appreciated. We also had pineapple and tamarind drinks, and both were fresh, refreshing, and delicious. To finish the meal, we ordered arroz con leche (rice pudding), which was a perfect final touch — creamy, well balanced, and very satisfying. Overall, great food, good service, and a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended!
We came here based on a quick Google search and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious, filling, and so reasonably priced. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a Costa Rican meal!
