Soda La Margarita

Delicious, authentic, and made with love! Soda Margarita was located right down the street from my Airbnb and was still open for late night dinner. The lady who greeted me was so sweet. You can tell that this is a family owned and operated establishment. I don’t speak much Spanish and she didn’t speak much English, but together we made it work. I ordered the typical Costa Rican dinner plate with rice, salad, plantains, black beans, pasta, and chose the beef as my protein. I also had the fresh pineapple juice which was so yummy. The sweet lady actually went back and cooked everything herself and brought it out to me. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! The portions were filling the prices were extremely reasonable. I believe that they are cash only, so much sure that you have come colones on you. She also told me to watch out for people who try to charge more money (as a tourist). I really appreciated her looking out for me. A local gem for sure with great food and homey service.

Off the beaten pass - Best Local Meal in Costa Rica! Just like Your Grandma's cooking :) We've been traveling around Costa Rica for the last 12 days, and this was the best local meal experience! We highly recommend it! The service was very friendly and welcoming! The menu had all prices clearly stated and they were pleasantly lower than other places we visited before.

The casado was great. I order it with cerdo. Family owned place. Highly recommended.
