Decorated with plants until it feels like the jungle, Soda Monkey's Place is a family-run favorite people return to two nights running. The Casado Pescado and Pollo, loaded nachos, and well-spiced rice dishes come in generous portions, the homemade spicy salsa gets its own fan mail, and the fresh-fruit margaritas are some of the biggest drinks in town. Friendly, English-speaking, with free parking.

We went yesterday for the first time (we went again today). The food is absolutely phenomenal! I had the Casado Pollo both times. It’s an authentic blend of savory and sweet flavors and it’s enough food for two meals. For an appetizer, we had the fish ceviche on the first day and mixed ceviche on the second…AMAZING! I really like the pineapple and strawberry justices as well. The decor is cute, it’s like sitting in the jungle. The family is very friendly and the service is great. I highly recommend this soda.
My family and I have only been in La Fortuna for two days, and we’ve already come back twice because it’s just that good. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, the prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is welcoming. We fell in love with the mango margarita, the mojito, and the casados. I recommend this place 100%.
This place was so so good that I went with family two nights in a row 🙌 we had burgers, chicken and beef nachos, shrimp pasta, tacos, grilled fish dinner; each item was outstanding 😋 and reasonably priced. We also tried their mango and strawberry juices with milk. The glasses were so big that we ended up sharing the shakes. Delicious and definitely worth a visit 😋 God bless!
