About
A cheap, honest lunch-and-breakfast soda off the tourist path, popular with locals — always a good sign. The set lunch (around 4,000 colones) comes with a plate and a fresh juice like pineapple; the cook nails eggs over easy (ask for 'huevos suave'), and there's homemade spicy salsa on the tables. The owners are warm and patient with beginner Spanish, and they sell handmade earrings too.

Lovely soda with super friendly owners, food was fresh and delicious. I got the lunch special which came with a fresh juice (I chose pineapple). Coffee on point (that said all the coffee in CR is!), and they have some earrings for sale too. Would 100% eat here again.
Great little spot for cheap breakfast or lunch. There were lots of locals so that tells you a lot. The cook made perfect eggs over easy, something that is hit or miss in CR. (Spanish tip - ask for "huevos suave"). They also have great homemade spicy salsa on the tables. Everything was delicious & fresh.
I ordered the rice with chicken and it was delicious. It also came with salad, french fries, and a pineapple smoothie. Around $11 USD in total (5,500 Colones). The staff was very friendly and sent me off with a "Pura Vida".
