Taxis La Fortuna/ Cab service

My friend and I planned a trip to La Fortuna, Costa Rica from Vermont. We ended up deciding to go to CR a day early because of weather, which meant we had to redo all of our plans. I use a large power wheelchair, and the original accessible taxi we had booked for the 3-hour trip from the Liberia airport to La Fortuna was not available. But with one day’s notice, Johnny and his family agreed to make the trek to pick us up. Then they became our guides and our familia for the rest of our trip. They picked us up at our hotel at 7am one day to go ziplining, and at 7am another day to go to the Mistico hanging bridges. Johnny was distraught that we hadn’t seen a sloth at the hanging bridges, so when he picked us up from there he asked if he could take us to find a sloth…and he found 2! In order for me to get out and see the sloth, it was a whole rigmarole to get my chair unstrapped so I could get out of the van, but he and his family were genuinely thrilled to do iț…just so we could see a sloth. They are truly classy and beautiful people; their taxi service is topnotch; and the ease of access they offer to people in wheelchairs rivals any similar service I’ve ever used in the USA. I left a big part of my heart in Costa Rica, and I will ALWAYS remember Johnny and his family.

Best Taxi service ever ! Jeniffer is an amazing driver and super reliable, on time and easy to communicate with, replies within minutes, and the price is more then fair considering the great service. We booked the service for 2 days with multiple destinations on day 1, with an early pickup and drop off at one location then afternoon pickup and drop of to another and evening pickup and drop off at our Airbnb , it was easy and no stress, 5 ppl with camera gear/bags, we had lots of room and the ride was comfortable. I recommend using their taxi service rather then a car rental, Jennifer knows the region and where to go fast and on time so you dont have to rent a car a deal with the stress of not knowing the roads or insurance/car pick up and drop off hassle .. Will use the service again when I’m back in La Fortuna ! Pura Vida

I would 100% recommend Johnny for anyone who needs a ride in the La Fortuna area. He was super easy to schedule and communicate with via WhatsApp, was always on time, and very kind. I mentioned I was hoping to see sloths and toucans on our trip and he asked if we would like to go looking for them. We proceeded to find 3 sloths and a toucan within several minutes, and then we promptly returned to our originally intended destination. Great guy, great service.
