About
A downtown café and bakery with a big breakfast-and-lunch menu, but the name people leave remembering is Jeremy — a server guests credit with some of the best hospitality of their whole Costa Rica trip, from latte art to a surprise birthday dessert. The house smoothies and the ham eggs benedict get specific praise, and the mocha latte and brownies bring people back the next day.

JEREMY is the best! We wandered into this little jam. Jeremy made us feel welcomed and provided one of the best service experience in our Costa Rica visit. We ordered two juices, a latte with oat milk which he tried hard with the latte art. He recommended egg benedict and we ordered the Classico ham version. It was perfectly made and he drew pictures of Christmas trees and lights on the plate, making it extra nice. Our phone was out of battery and he helped us charge the phone. His warm service and the way he truly enjoys his work made the experience memorable. Shout out to Jeremy!
This was my first time visiting Costa Rica, and I came across Tayakiry Café on Google. I’m so glad I decided to stop by because the experience was truly amazing. Our server, Jeremy, made our visit even more special from the moment we arrived. He recommended the house-made smoothie, which was incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right. We were also celebrating a birthday, and Jeremy surprised us with a beautiful dessert before our meal, which was such a thoughtful touch. Every dish we ordered was delicious—so good that all of our plates were wiped clean. The food, the flavors, and the freshness were all on point. What stood out the most, though, was the exceptional hospitality and prompt service. Jeremy made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. Because of that, Tayakiry Café is now a place we’ll always return to whenever we’re in Costa Rica. Highly recommend!
This place is both a bakery and a restaurant, but we only tried their pastry and coffee. We did order black coffee and a brownie with nutella and m&m’s. It did taste great. And my wife was happy too get the milk aside to self put it in her coffee. We did like it so much that we did visit it next day again, where we tried ther cookie but i forgot to take pictures. I did prefer the brownie. Both visit the eaiters did gave amazing services. The atmosphere is great, we would definetly recommend this place.
