About
A favorite for traditional Costa Rican food near El Río de La Fortuna. The passion-fruit juice gets called the best of people's lives, the ceviche is fresh enough to order twice, and the chifrijo arrives with fried yucca and a giant patacón. Piña coladas and smoothies are standouts, and portions and service earn repeat visits. One tip: confirm the price if you accept a different cut of beef.

Tiquicia was our favorite restaurant during our weekend trip to La Fortuna. Everything was delicious, good portions and great service. The passion fruit juice was the best I’ve had in my life. Ceviche was so fresh that we had to repeat. The chifrijo was good with fried yucca and a gigantic patacón (green plantain). Our mom had a chickpeas with chicken soup and she couldn’t stop eating and she doesn’t eat too much regularly. Our waiter was friendly and was willing to help with questions about how to find some groceries we needed. We wanted to eat every meal there but we also wanted to try other restaurants. But no other was as good as Tiquicia.
Delicious food for a decent price! Only set back was that I ordered their beef casado, and was offered a different cut of beef, which I accepted without questioning. It ended up costing double the amount of my meal (menu price around 6000, my bill around 12000). Otherwise, tasted great!
Best Pina colada/smoothies we had in Costa Rica. Well worth stopping in just for those. Food was good (except the fish and chicken with aurora sauce which were excellent). Great for families.
