About
A steak and grill destination that needs a reservation — and earns it. The parrillada platters and Angus churrasco come cooked and seasoned to perfection with excellent chimichurri, the burgers are gigantic, and the house salsa is the thing people say they'll dream about forever. Order the red and pink sangrias, come hungry (platters 'for 2' feed closer to 4), and servers like Nuria round out standout service.

Had one of the best burgers I've ever had here. It was gigantic and not greasy with tons of flavour. The grills that they have here are absolutely incredible. Full of lots of different kinds of food and while it says serves 2 they really do serve more like 4 so come hungry or with your friends!!! Great desserts as well.
Best meal we had in Costa Rica, and one of my favourite meals of all time. All cuts were delicious and cooked and seasoned to perfection. The serving was very generous. I cannot recommend this place enough. We had an enormous platter of decadent beef cuts (parrillado de res), plenty of sides, a glass of wine each and a digestif after dinner all for 53,000 colones. Amazing!
Travesía Restaurant exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely amazing — truly, words cannot describe how good everything was, from the attentive service to the beautifully prepared meals and refreshing juices. The Angus beef churrasco was outstanding, cooked perfectly and packed with incredible flavor. The chimichurri was exceptional and complemented the steak perfectly. I also tried the spaghetti with shrimp in garlic sauce, and I was genuinely surprised by the generous portion and the amount of shrimp included. It was very filling and rich in flavor, making every bite just as enjoyable as the last. It’s unfortunate that I discovered this restaurant on my last day in La Fortuna, because I would have gladly returned again and again. I highly recommend Travesía to anyone visiting — it was truly a memorable dining experience.
