About
An authentic Irish pub perched at the top of a mountain in the jungle above Nosara, run by K-Rae, a Boston-Irish owner who hosts and cooks. Pull up for a stout or a nearby brewery's red ale, a Reuben or pulled pork, and live music — there's even a pool to relax in. Reviewers call the prices fair by Nosara standards and the drive well worth it.

I have to confess: I’m not a fan of the new, tech-monied, westernized part of Nosara. This is why K-Rae’s was such a breath of fresh air for me. It has the soul of eco-tourism that I fell in love with here in Central America: friendly, unique, and local- much like Airbnb used to be. This place is particularly cool because I had the experience of being in Costa Rica along with a taste of home in a really cool Irish Pub located at the Inn. This pub is legit feeling from the decor to the live music to the food. Food was delicious and done with really cool local takes on the standards, prices were actually good (unlike the rest of Nosara), and the service was excellent. I felt like a part of the family here.
We saw the signs for the pub off the highway. It’s was a long drive but more than worth it. We had a Ruben and a delicious stout on draft. The service was excellent and we spent an hour just chatting with the owner K-Rae. She is a wonderful person and an excellent host and cook. As one of the only 2 Irish pubs in CR it is worth the drive from wherever you are. This is the view from the patio.
Brew with a view! Couldn't believe our luck finding an Irish pub just up the road from the Sibu Sanctuary. Tried the Irish red ale from a nearby brewery and it was excellent (and I'm not usually a fan of craft ales). Paired it with a delicious pulled pork sandwich. Paradise.
