About
A beachfront restaurant in Nosara where the sunset is the reason to book ahead — guests describe a sky that looks “painted on” and want a front-row table for it. The kitchen runs from a breakfast pizza through generous dinner plates, and the food arrives fast and well-prepared. Come for the view over the water and stay for the meal; reserve if you want the sunset seat.

Beautiful spot for a special meal. The views at La Luna are stunning, especially around sunset—definitely recommend making a reservation if you want a front-row seat to watch the sun go down. Service was a bit slow at times, though there was a large group dining when we visited. We ordered an appetizer, a pizza, and a jug of juice, and everything was delicious. Overall it felt like a really special experience with gorgeous views.
We were visiting the Nosara area and looking for somewhere to eat when we came across this spot and decided to give it a try. I’ll admit, I was a little bummed at first when we realized they were still serving breakfast—but that didn’t last long. We ordered the breakfast pizza, and it completely won us over. So good. Easily one of the best values for the quality and portion—definitely the best bang for your buck. We also had a mimosa and a smoothie. Both were just okay and felt a bit overpriced compared to the food. That said, the location is incredible and the food more than makes up for it. Overall, a great find in Nosara—we’d absolutely come back (and next time, I won’t be disappointed about breakfast).
We had a family meal here, and it was exquisite. The view was exceptional, and the food fabulous. The portions are very generous, except for the Mediterranean platter, which was quite small, which was misleading when we ordered the rest of the meal! We all took home doggy bags…
