I had an amazing experience at Bonga House with my family. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered great insight into Costa Rica’s hidden gems. I truly felt like I was on vacation, able to relax, unwind, and enjoy every moment. Additionally, they had a great restaurant that offered delicious Costa Rican Dishes! I would 100% recommend staying here!

Truly a sanctuary. I don’t know what this place has, but its energy is one of a kind. It somehow has a way to your heart and an addicting nature which sucks you in and makes you never want to leave. I stayed in one of the dorm rooms (seahorse) which overlooked a super cute garden and had access to a gorgeous pool view. I did go out a few times to explore the super cute town but I will say it was hard to leave the hostel, as everything I needed was all there and within reach. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The fact that they were originally from out of the country was very useful as they understood me and where I was coming from while still being super knowledgeable enough about the area to provide me with all the pro tips on all things local and places or things I should do/must see during my stay. The room was super spacious and fully equipped. I found cleanliness something that stood out from most places I’ve stayed at in the past. And let’s not even talk about the pool. It was the perfect ending for my post sunset beach walks and or sun kissed tanning sessions I had on their lawn chairs. I loved my time there. The only thing I would have changed was the fact that I didn’t stay or book for longer to begin with. I will definitely will be staying here again and I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for some fun, exploring the spontaneous adventures of a new country without having to let go of or compromise the feeling of comfort and home that this provided me while away. We had a wonderful stay at the Bonga House! The staff and owners were welcoming and kind. This prime location is a block from the beach! There was plenty of shopping and restaurants. The property is gated and secure. Highly recommend for experiencing Pura Vida lifestyle.
