What a pleasant experience. Mirko and Mariana are hosts extraordinaire. We stayed from January 31 to February 6 and have the following recommendations: 1) This is not a party house. Mirko and Mariana have a family and expect guests to adhere to a very reasonable decorum. 2) Rent either unit 1 or 2 if you are coming with one or two children, as they face onto the pool. 3) There is ample parking on site for a rental car and while this location doesn’t necessarily require one, as it is close enough to town, it is nice to have to visit the Leona Waterfalls, or the Rincon de la Vieja park. You’ll also want a car to visit the beach to the south, Longoste (sp?), as it has a unique inlet to an estuary and allows you to escape the hectic parts of the Tamarindo beach. 4) You can save a lot of money by buying groceries and cooking on site here. There is a second common kitchen to use for more intense cooking. 5) if you have any questions, both Mirko and Mariana were very responsive and knowledgeable. I left two beers in the fridge for Mirko and I genuinely hope he has a chance to relax and drink them; he works really hard. Thank you Mirko and Mariana for making our stay in Costa Rica a wonderful one.

Beware. I stayed here for 6 months in 2022. Have tons of photos to prove it. Owners were unkind. Unhelpful with repairs. Charged too much. List goes on. Maybe its better now - but my experience was bad.

The place is very close to the beach and the town center. The apartment was very clean, as was the pool. The shared kitchen had plenty of things to use. The price-quality ratio is perfect. An important detail is that they allowed us to use the washing machines, providing the necessary items free of charge. Mirko, the host, was excellent; he was a very attentive and easygoing person who made us feel right at home.
