A specialty coffee shop and on-site roastery in Tamarindo, where the owner will happily walk you through the sourcing and the roast — and you can carry a bag of the beans home. Baristas Marcus and Macarena pull the flat whites and lattes; the iced drinks are built on a cold-brew base with plenty of milk alternatives. Air-conditioned seating, and regulars who come back every morning of their trip.

We had such a great experience at Derecho Sagrado. The coffee alone was fantastic, smooth, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care,.but what really made it special was meeting the owner. We ended up having a great conversation about the roasting process, sourcing, and what goes into creating the perfect cup. You can truly feel the passion behind the brand. After learning more about how thoughtfully the beans are selected and roasted, we couldn’t leave without purchasing a few bags to take home. It’s rare to find a place where the quality of the coffee matches the warmth and authenticity of the people behind it. If you’re in Tamarindo and appreciate specialty coffee (and the story behind it), this spot is absolutely worth visiting.
A great place to for specialty coffee! They are not only a coffee shop, but a roastery as well, so you can choose beans to bring back home too. The drinks are made to perfection, I tried flat white and latte, both were delicious. Great coffee spot
Most friendly staff. The coffee is amazing... balanced, smooth, fantastic flavor profiles. Such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place enough.
