A brand-new hotel with large, spotless rooms a short walk from the beach and town, on a quiet street where guests see and hear monkeys every day. There's an outdoor kitchen with filtered water and ice, plus a clean pool and cabanas made for lazing at any hour. Hosts Johanna and Gregory are named repeatedly for attentive, personal hospitality and local tips.

First time staying at the brand new El Patio, and it didn’t disappoint. The rooms are large and very clean, the same goes for the entire hotel. It’s very close to the beach and everything else in town, and of course, the hosts are amazing. Jo and Greg have done a phenomenal job, we can’t wait to visit again. Thank you, guys!
We are very familiar with Tamarindo and the location of El Patio is perfect!! El Patio is close to town and the beach and the location is quiet. In town ——Tamarindo isn’t so quiet….anymore. The restful sleep without loud music at El Patio was wonderful. We saw and heard monkeys everyday. The room was spacious & cozy. The property was clean & safe. The outdoor kitchen was perfect while my husband made us a typical Costa Rican breakfast everyday. Another bonus the kitchen also has filtered water and ice accessible. The pool and cabanas were beautiful and so relaxing anytime of day. Thank you Johanna for having us everything was perfect.
Had the opportunity yesterday to visit the hotel. Hosta are very friendly. Beautiful rooms with a lovely pool and lots of amenities. Very close to downtown Tamarindo. looking a staying next winter. Definitely recommend staying there
