A long-running surf shop and camp across the road from the beach, where the reviews read like a roll call of instructors -- Keke, Manueles, Rigo, Mia -- who get first-timers, kids, and 60-somethings up and riding. Take a lesson and board rentals drop to a discounted rate; you also get lockers, showers, and a change room, and can drop the board off at day's end. Staff like Diego and Tasha make it feel like family.

Amazing experience at Iguana. My husband and I had a shared instructor and both my tween girls had their own. Keke was excellent! Super nice, positive attitude. Don’t remember the girls instructors names but they were great with kids and got my girls both up surfing like a pro! Highly recommend.
We loved Iguana Surf!!! We did a lesson with Manueles and highly recommend it to anyone. He spent the time to teach us about safety & proper technique, while making sure we had fun and caught a lot of great waves! We rented a board for the rest of the week (discounted rate since we did a lesson!!), and we loved being able to use the lockers and shower, drop the board off at the end of the day, and try a variety of boards. Diego always greeted us with a smile and was extremely helpful. We also booked a snorkeling excursion through Iguana and had an amazing experience! We are so glad we used Iguana Surf, they all played a huge role in making our vacation fun, convenient, and memorable!
Rigo is a great teacher! My lesson was so fun and went by too fast! I only had time for 1 lesson this trip, but can't wait to return to Iguana Surf for a surf camp. Everyone at the shop is very friendly and they are so welcoming to beginners. Thank you!
