Glide out through the mangroves and you'll spot iguanas, herons, hermit crabs, and howler monkeys before snorkeling off a small island — guide Jadder Martínez knows the water and the wildlife cold, and doubles as a patient surf instructor who has beginners riding waves inside an hour and a half. Expect cold water, fresh pineapple, and plenty of photos taken for you along the way.

Me and my girlfriend went on a kayak and a snorkeling tour and had private surf lessons from Jadder Martinez. On the island he took great photos and had cold water and pineapple, we saw lots of hermit crabs. He knew everything about the island. He also knew everything about surfing! On our first try me and my girlfriend rode the waves and he helped us perfect our form in 1 1/2 hours. 10/10 surf instructor he was very kind and awesome.
our host from the hotel told us about this place and said his friend does surf lessons. they had a guy on the beach taking pictures, they kept or belongings safe and were very good surf teachers very personable with life philosophy and deep conversations while waiting for waves. they instructed me well enough and by the end of my lesson i was surfing
We had a great time kayaking with Yader Martinez, who was an excellent guide. We saw iguanas, fascinating nests, spider crabs, beautiful herons — night heron and blue herons — a red snapper, and howler monkeys!!! It was a hot day but it wasn’t too bad in the shade of the beautiful mangroves. Highly recommend!
