La Palapa

We had an excellent stay at La Palapa. The staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms were well equipped, and it was amazing to walk out of them straight onto the sand. I got an amazing massage from Kayla on the beach, with a discount for people staying at the hotel. The hotel has beach chairs for guests in the shade which is great as there are times during the day when it’s very hot and there’s no shade on the beach. We stayed 4 nights and although there was noise until late it wasn’t too much of a problem until the last night when there was very loud bass coming from a nearby club until 2am. I know the hotel can’t help this but it might not be the best area for very light sleepers.

This place is truly paradise. Many other regions from Asia to Mexico might have beautiful beaches, but nothing compares to the lifestyle that combines the jungle and community. It creates a rare and special electrifying energy that only Costa Rica, Guanacaste, and Tamarindo have.

A wonderful place to stay in Tamarindo. Audrey and Rolando are first class hosts who do everything to ensure a great stay. It’s a clean, basic room, steps from the ocean, shopping and great dining. Would highly recommend.
