Refugio Lodge

This hotel is an absolute oasis in the middle of a busy town. You have a quiet hotel and pool with a large deck under the cover of the trees filled with monkeys, and an easy walk to the beach and anything in town. The attached cafe provides some of the highest quality food and coffee we’ve had. Agustin is a great host. We will absolutely stay here again.

the staff was super welcoming and went out of their way to make it a great stay! Agustín gave us great recommendations for restaurants, bars, etc and everywhere we went on his list was amazing. The bar was a great vibe with music every night & breakfast was delicious too! Only note was rooms weren’t great and pool was dirty, but not really needed with the beach so close.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The property was comfortable, clean, and very well maintained. Augustin was an exceptional host—friendly, welcoming, and always easy to reach when we needed anything. He went out of his way to make sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.
