Salty Smile surf school Tamarindo

My husband, father-in-law and I took 3 days of surfing lessons with Bobby, and Juan at salty Smile surf school. We had such an incredible experience. From start to finish, their attention to detail really stood out. They didn’t just push us into the water and let us figure it out, they truly cared about teaching us how to surf properly. The instruction was thoughtful, patient, and tailored to our skill level, which made a huge difference in our confidence and progress. Everyone we interacted with at Salty Smile was kind, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. We especially appreciated that this is a small, owner-operated business. You can feel that they’re deeply involved in every aspect of the experience, and that level of care shows. We’d absolutely go back and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality instruction and a supportive, well-run operation. An all-around fantastic experience! Thank you :)

This place was awesome! Bobby, Bar, and Juan took such great care of us and put so much attention into making our first surfing experience a success. We were up on the boards so many times, and they really emphasized good form and safety. We wanted our kids’ first experience to be a positive one so they can keep building their surf skills back home in San Diego, and Salty Smile did not disappoint. Pura vida! 🌊🤙

I loved learning how to surf at Salty Smile Surf School! The owners are incredibly friendly and my instructor, Juan, was amazing! Very patient and he knew exactly how to coach me so that I could go from never touching a surfboard to riding my own waves after only 3 lessons.🌊🏄🏻‍♀️ I look forward to hopefully doing a surf trip through them. I can't recommend them enough!
