Sol Bakery Tamarindo

This was hands-down my favorite breakfast from our entire trip! We had just spent the morning on the water for a diving tour and stopped at Sol bakery. I’m so glad we did because we were ravenous and their portion sizes were generous! We ordered a few bebidas naturales - the Hibiscus & the tamarind. They were both so pretty. Hibiscus was my favorite. We also had a few sweet empanadas as starters which we delicious dulce de leche. Then I had the omelette, he had the breakfast sandwich. I loved mine. So good! I love the pear preserve sauce they gave me. Then I got a matcha latte to go. Will be coming back to this spot!

Great little spot we ended up visiting a few times. Their tacos were delicious, but my wife absolutely loved their gluten-free carrot cake. As a gluten eater, I was shocked that it was gluten-free. It was seriously one of the best carrot cakes I've had. Staff were friendly and the vibe was great there.

AMAZING! Everything we ate here was absolutely show-stopping! We had a traditional breakfast one morning and then came back for taco Tuesday, $3 tacos!! I can’t believe we didn’t eat here more than we did but we came later in our trip! We also tried their bakery items — the croissants are probably the best in Tamarindo! Coming from Austin, TX it’s hard to top the tacos and croissants we are used to at home, but they really did!! I can’t recommend this place enough and only wish we got to enjoy the food and ambience more!
