A clean, well-organized market in downtown Tamarindo that punches above its size — shoppers who stayed for months used it for most of their needs and singled out a better meat selection than nearby convenience stores, plus some of the best prices in town. Produce is decent and there's the occasional sale. One tip that comes up: check dates on perishables before you buy.

FYI, a few pics of beer prices in Feb. 2026, which weren’t too much more than the Wal-Mart in San Jose.
Clean and convenient store in the downtown area, but tricky to get to in June 2024 due to the street upgrades and construction. Lots of choices considering its size and we found everything and more than needed. Better meat selection than other convenience stores in the area. Best prices so far.
This supermarket is a solid choice for most of your shopping needs! They offer a good selection of fresh produce, with quality fruits and vegetables. The dry goods and frozen food aisles have everything you need, and there’s a great variety of snacks to choose from. The only challenge we had was locating dairy products but not a big deal. While it’s not the biggest store, it’s well-organized and convenient, making it easy to find what you need. Overall, a reliable spot for your everyday grocery run!
