Tamarindo Sunshine

My husband and I loved staying here at Sunshine Tamarindo. • The room was super clean, secure, well taken care of and husekeeping was attentive. We love the courtyard. • The kitchen area had everything we needed for our stay. With hammocks for relaxing. • Location was central and the walkability to everything was really AMAZING! The beach was just steps across the street. • Quick 3-5 minute walk to delicious restaurants, grocery and shops. • Beach chairs & boogie boards to borrow were a really great service. • Water pressure in shower was fantastic. • Towels, linens in perfect condition. • Bed was comfortable. • Air conditioning good too. Our room stayed cool even when turned off for hours. • Excellent communication with host. Suggestions on things to do & even offered assistance to book. Really focused on guest satisfaction. • There were monkeys in the trees outside the yard which was really fun to watch. Friendly, kind and hospitable people. We will be back! Thank you so much!

The rooms were clean and had all the amenities we could need (champagne glasses, mini-fridge, beach towels, etc.), except no TV for people who might want one in the room. A small portion of the beach can be accessed in a 2-minute walk and downtown is also a 2-minute drive (15 min walk). Bed was comfortable (firm) and A/C was appreciated considering the weather. We had a small balcony with two chairs however it was right in front of the pathway to other rooms - we did not use it. There were some privacy concerns with the shower as we could see a new building on the lot from the shower windows (which was luckily not ready for rent at the time so no one was inside), but still something to consider. You could also see the balcony of one of the rooms above us from the window and there were cracks in the wall of the shower where fake greenery was inserted. Be mindful that washing clothes or towels with laundry detergent in the room is prohibited. There was construction right outside the lot for a new apartment building at the time of our stay, however we could not hear much from inside our room so it was not too bothersome and the hosts alerted us of the situation upon our arrival. Overall we were happy with our stay of 3 nights at Tamarindo Sunshine.

Stayed at this cute little casa for the second half of our trip in Costa Rica, and this small little space was a perfect beach getaway. The hosts were incredibly responsive and gave us great information for our stay right of the bat. For just the two of us the small space was just enough and all the amenities worked spectacularly, were cleaned thoroughly, and very well maintained. But the real crown jewel of this place was the location, just a hop, skip and a jump to get to the beach and plenty of restaurants and convenience shopping that you could need for your stay. If you're staying in Tamarindo, I couldn't recommend this place enough.
