Tamarindo Village Hotel

We loved our stay at Tamarindo Village Hotel. My family chose one of the rooms with a second bedroom loft. It was located at the top of the hotel on a hill. I felt like I was in the jungle, removed from the tourists of town, yet we were very close (walking distance) to shops/grocery/restaurants and the beach. My favorite was that we had a private small dipping pool on our deck. Monkeys were playing in the trees daily. A large variety of birds were present as well. The entire property was very clean and well maintained. The owners keep the appliances up to date and the kitchenette was perfectly stocked with everything I needed but not too much. The breakfast was lovely. $7 for an ample amount of delicious food, or the buffet items are complementary. I love peaceful simplicity when I travel, and Tamarindo Village Hotel exceeded my expectations. We would be lucky to stay again.

We stay at the Tamarindo Village Hotel for one night before heading to our AirBnB for the rest of our trip. It is a unique jungle setting within walking distance to town. Even though the hotel is small there is privacy between rooms. The room was quite large, clean, a/c worked well. The room had 3 beds and ours was comfortable. The continental breakfast was enough for us however there were more options for a fee. The coffee was very good and we enjoyed it by the pool watching all the birds and listening to the monkeys. Thanks to Steve and the staff for an enjoyable first night in Tamarindo!

This hotel was very far from the beach. It was the uphill climb the whole way, not very enjoyable. The other things that happened was they were supposed to send the car for us and it never showed up. And the guy at the front desk, the owner didn't seem to care .Breakfast ham and egg Omelette and the ham was bad they leave the stuff sitting out too long while they're cooking, and it goes bad, very quick. I would not stay here again.
