Tandoor Indian Restaurant Tamarindo

Tandoor has fantastic food. Chetan and Mustafa were incredible hosts and helped with our choices of dishes, recommending which would go best together and offered such incredible service. They helped make our night memorable and so welcoming. My partner and I had a great time dining here. The atmosphere is beautiful, just watch for mosquitos all across Costa Rica, but wooden tables with dim lights illuminate enticing south Asian food that tastes fresh and flavorful. We got the butter chicken, chicken tikka, garlic naan and cashew paulau. All of it was so good- I recommend every dish! And ask for chetan and mustafa!

We couldn’t miss this Indian restaurant given our long stay in Tamarindo. Happened to be close to beach and great place for dinner after the sunset. Chetan; our server was a pleasant & service was awesome. When it comes to food, given my Indian heritage, bar is pretty high. We tried mango lassi, daal & paneer; I would rate them above average. A minor makeover would help improve the ambiance. When you put everything together, price is on a higher side.

Best thing is the hospitality. Chef, server and manager are all friendly and inviting. Generous portion size and delicious food. The koftas were mildly sweet and the paneer tikka masala was appropriately spiced. The naans and kulchas were well done. Truly enjoyed our dinner with fresh made ingredients!!
