About
A boutique, beachfront hotel for people who want quiet and intimate over resort-scale - the sand is steps away, with a private section of loungers and a security guard, and some of the better surf breaks are right out front. Suites have kitchenettes, breakfast is delivered to your room each morning, and you're greeted with a fresh coconut at check-in. Staff learn your name, and downtown is an easy walk.

Perfect for us! Just far enough away from the centre of Tamarindo for quiet nights. An easy walk to the center of town. Three great restaurants within a 5 minute walk. An amazing, friendly, accommodating staff that remembers your name. Breakfast brought to your room every morning. They don’t do eggs but we just bought them and cooked them in the kitchenette. Lovely pool. Spotless and well equipped rooms, directly facing the beach, which is steps from the hotel. Great security. This was our first time here, and we’ve already booked for next year. If you want quiet, intimate, boutique type style, directly on the beach, as opposed to the resort style, this is it.
We absolutely loved this hotel. It was awesome it was right on the beach, and that the suite came with a little kitchen area with a sink, pretty big refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, coffee maker, blender, dishware, utensils etc. It was really comfortable to be able to just eat in the hotel room sometimes and avoid spending at restaurants every time. They even greet you with a fresh coconut upon check-in, which was really sweet. The staff were all super friendly and always willing to help, the rooms were very clean, and the pool was well maintained. And you can’t beat the location for Tamarindo. The beach is steps away and from the looks of it, some of the better surfing spots are right in front of the hotel. It is also highly walkable to downtown Tamarindo. The only downsides were that they dont let you have guests over even just to watch a movie or have some coffee in your suite. It seems a lot of hotels around here are like that, but it would have been nice to have a friend over. The only other negative we encountered was when renting surfboards. They were reasonably priced, but pretty old and worn, so we realize within five minutes of renting them that we didn’t want to use them anymore, and couldn’t get a refund, which was a bit silly. It seems the boards are rented at the hotel through a third-party though. Therefore, I would recommend you get your boards elsewhere. All in all though we loved this place. Highly recommend!
What a fantastic find! We had a beachfront room with a great ocean / bay view from the room and the shaded lanai. The location was perfect for us--away from the bustle of "downtown" Tamarindo, but only a ten- to fifteen-minute walk away, via a sidewalk or the beach itself, so all the restaurants and bars were in easy reach. (If that seems too far away, golf cart rental is a thing here.) You have a private section of beach with reclining chairs and an unobtrusive security guard, and you can step immediately out on the public beach and wade into the water...this seems like an area where people like to learn to surf. A simple breakfast is delivered to your room, at least as we booked it. Especially after seeing some of the other resorts in town, if we were to come back, we would absolutely stay here.
