The Wine Break Store

My husband and I stumbled upon this place last February while visiting Tamarindo and before heading to spend a few days at "Las Catalinas". We are both huge wine aficionados and having the good stuff to drink in our room during a trip is important to us. As a certified Sommelier myself, I can tell you this store has a great selection of bottles you won't find at another random liquor store in Tamarindo. We were able to purchase some superb wines last year, so this year we came back for more during our second visit. Guess what?! This store now also has a tasting room for you to sit around, sip and hang while tasting some delicious wines. We were fortunate to meet one of the owners, Shawna, who went above and beyond welcoming us while making some excellent wine suggestions. A must-stop while doing some shopping around Central Ave, or maybe a pregame session before hitting the bars. We will definitely be back during our next trip!

What a gem! In the center of Tamarindo lies a wine haven, crafted with sophistication to provide a relaxing experience with fine wines from France, Spain, Portugal, among others. Their souvenirs and excellent customer service impressed us. Our Sunday 6 PM wine bingo event was fantastic, making it a must-recommend for group travelers to this picturesque town. Shanna and her team made us feel totally welcome. Just like at home!

My husband and I were walking through town when we found this shop. It is SO cute. It has a great selection of wine and small gifts - all with reasonable prices! The store smelt great and had the best vibe. I did a flight tasting while there and chatted to the shop worker. She was knowledgeable and super friendly. Make sure you check out this store if you are looking for a well curated bottle of wine! A must stop!
