Witch’s Rock Surf Camp

Just returned from a week at Witch's Rock Surf Camp, first attempt surfing! We didn't want to leave. Most importantly, our instructor Gino Fernandez, was the best. He was very attentive and constantly provided critique and support which allowed us to get up the first day!! (I seriously thought it would take me all week)...Gino has the best personality, so positive, so genuine, fun to be around...which made our experience far better than I could have ever expected. The surf camp accommodations and the staff are fantastic! The staff is very friendly. Daily housekeeping service was greatly appreciated. The breakfast options (included) are excellent! The location on the beach is most convenient. Walking distance to anything you could possibly need in town. Makes sense why so many people return regularly, which is a testament to the great environment Witch's Rock has created. So nice meeting and chatting with the new people that were also attending. If you’re thinking about learning to surf, or improving your skills, I highly recommend Witch's Rock.

Witches Rock is the best place to learn to surf. Soft sandy bottom, warm water, endless waves at all sizes for all levels and the instructors are second to none. We had Oscar V and Gino as instructors. I hadn’t surfed successfully until I came here. I brought my wife the second year and now she can surf too. The whole place has the best vibes. We made friends with all the folks who work there and everyone in the camp the same weeks we were there. The food is incredible. Our rooms were excellent, but basic. It's a camp, not a resort. My wife even has a black eye from the board hitting her in the face and she still says this is her favourite vacation ever. Next trip the kids are coming. We can’t wait to come back. Pura Vida

We had such an awesome trip at Witch's Rock this year. Jeff was such a great coach in the intermediate program. He gave me detailed techniques and because of him, my sons and I built confidence while at the same time kept that Pura Vida attitude that he imparted on all of us each day. Oscar V was an awesome coach for my soon-to-be daughter-in-law in the beginner program and gave her the confidence she needed to get into her own waves - she had such a great time, and because of him and the techniques he taught her, wants to get back in the waves! The staff at Witch's Rock always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed - from keeping our boards handy on the beach, answering all of our questions right away, providing awesome service at Eat at Joe's restaurant, keeping our rooms clean with fresh towels every couple of days, and getting us to and from the airport with ease… The entire staff made our trip simply a beautiful experience we can't wait to return!
