My wife and I and two friends were staying in Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica for a week as part of a tour of the country. My wife had spotted Baldi’s Fresh Restaurant while walking along the highway to another eating place and we ended up deciding to get there. We went there, in January 2026, the restaurant was not very busy. We therefore had our choice of seating, and the service was very fast and attentive. The view of the ocean from the restaurant is breathtaking, especially around sunset. Baldi’s makes amazing seafood “bowls” full of delicious ingredients and my wife and I both had one. I ordered one which both yellowfin tuna and mahi-mahi as well as sliced carrots, chickpeas, avocado, sliced cucumber and barbequed pineapple. It was amazing! We ended our meals with brownies and ice cream which were sinfully delicious. There are several good restaurants in Manuel Antonio, but Baldi’s is by far the best in town.

Absolutely fantastic! We ordered the lobster- surprised when there were Two lobsters on each plate! Grilled to perfection with garlic butter. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Great location across from the beach.

I recently visited Baldi’s Fresh Restaurant, a popular tourist-side spot offering a variety of seafood dishes. Overall, the food was fresh and well-prepared. The grilled Mahi Mahi served with jasmine rice, salad, chips, and guacamole was flavorful and cooked to a good texture. The deep-fried snapper was also fresh and enjoyable. However, while the quality of the food was solid, the pricing left a lot to be desired. The deep-fried snapper was listed on the menu with question marks (“???”) instead of a clear price, and we were later charged 22,400 colones for that dish alone. Our total bill came to around $100, which felt noticeably high considering the portion sizes and the overall experience. Baldi’s offers fresh seafood in a convenient tourist location, but visitors should be aware of the pricing and confirm costs before ordering. Aside from the cost issue, the food itself was enjoyable and well prepared.
