Blue Bird Skoolie is a converted bus turned Airbnb near Playa Grande — brand new, stylishly finished, and roomier inside than guests expect, with a spacious desk that makes remote work easy. It sits on the owners' green property (they live in another bus), where howler monkeys come to watch from the terrace. The river and the beach are both a short stroll, and the area feels secure. Host Kata is warm and quick to answer.

Blue Bird Skoolie is one of the best Airbnbs I've stayed at in Costa Rica! What a unique and beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the magic of Costa Rica:) It is so close to the river and the beach so I was able to experience everything easily! Kata was so responsive and kind, she answered all of my questions and gave great recommendations! I will definitely stay here again!
The Bluebird bus is brand new and perfectly and stylishly finished. Fully equipped and very spacious. It sits on the beautifully appointed property of the owners who themselves live in another bus. The outdoor terrace adjoins a green area where howler monkeys came to watch us closely. Near (almost on) the beautiful beach of Playa Grande in an area with large villas with surveillance. Felt very safe. Highly recommended!
This is such a nice and cosy place, we loved every detail. The bus is amazingly well equipped and has a really pleasant ambience indoors and outdoors. We will definitely be back. The bus is a short stroll from beautiful Playa Grande where we could see the most amazing sunset. ✨ 🚌
