At Cuckoo's Nest the BBQ night is the thing people come back for — some of the best ribs, BBQ chicken, and ceviche in Playa Grande — and the tuna tartare gets called a must. Bring your own catch and the chef will turn it into carpaccio or teriyaki. Alejo and the crew keep the tropical bar warm and the service sharp, with the chicken burger and mahi rounding out an easy, reasonably priced menu.

BBQ night was great, so we went back to check out the regular menu. I especially enjoyed the chicken burger and will be back for more! The restaurant/bar is beautifully tropical with a fun and comfortable atmosphere. Service was sharp and everyone was friendly.
Alejo and his crew were welcoming from the moment we walked in- on Christmas Eve none-the-less! We are blessed to be staying right next door at the Palm Beach Inn (also highly recommended)! The tuna tartare is a must!!! So far, we have tried around a half dozen restaurants in the area, and Cuckoo’s has been the best for both food and the people!! Highly recommend! Back for our second time in less than three days… definitely going to be back for more!!
We had dinner twice at Cuckoo’s Nest during our stay at Playa Grande. The first night we went we enjoyed the BBQ night with some of the best ceviche, BBQ ribs, and BBQ chicken we have ever had. The second night, we brought some tuna we had caught the day prior and the chef prepared it as carpaccio and teriyaki. Everything was delicious and the drinks were also super tasty. In addition, the service was great! We highly recommend!
