We used discover Tamarindo for our estuary tour. You got to get early to figure out who you are going with and they load you up in these somewhat tippy boats. But once the boat is balanced it’s a magical cruise Through the estuary. It’s not guaranteed you will see all the animals. But if you’re lucky you get a real good show with a real good tour guide. We had Fabio and he was great! Front seats are the best - though most likely to get sun burnt! (Ow my knee caps!!) And they have waters and a sweet treat! Bring your cameras and sunscreen. If you’re still reading this I recommend going for the 1:30pm time slot 😉

We had an amazing waterfall tour of La Leona Waterfall with Discover Tamarindo. From start to finish, everything was top-notch! Steven our guide was outstanding — knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the area. He made the entire experience fun while also sharing interesting facts about the local wildlife, landscape, and culture. He was patient, made sure everyone felt comfortable, and kept the energy high the whole time. Christian and the Discover Tamarindo team did a fantastic job organizing everything seamlessly. Communication was clear, transportation was smooth, and the whole day felt well-planned and stress-free. The waterfall itself was absolutely breathtaking — a true Costa Rica highlight! Plenty of time to swim, explore, and take photos. It never felt rushed. If you're visiting the Tamarindo area, I highly recommend booking with Discover Tamarindo. This was easily a 5-star experience and one of the best parts of our trip! 🌴💦

Wonderful turtle nesting night tour experience! Our guide Moises was fantastic: he provided plenty of information and answered all our questions thoroughly, but most importantly shown he has genuine respect for his country’s nature. He kept the responsibility of protecting the turtles’ space, safety and time at the forefront of the tour. He made sure everyone was well informed to observe in the most ethical way possible. We’re very happy to have lived such a once in a lifetime experience with a true local. We saw turtles swimming in and out of the ocean to find the best places to nest, and were blessed by seeing a few baby turtles hatch and walk to shore. Please only do this patiently and with a company that cares so much, just like Moises and Discover Tamarindo. Thank you! Pura vida
