After arriving in Playa Grande, went to this very claustrophobic market to get a few things for our hike the next day. I played my bill and thought it was a little high. After returning back to our hotel I looked at the receipt to find that the market charged me for 7 baguettes and only a single banana. Which was completely wrong. We bought 8 bananas and a single baguette. So my single baguette cost me around $11 USD. This mistake is not going to break me but really annoyed me to the point of actually writing a review. I wanted to let others know because I doubt this was an honest mistake. I will never be going back to this store. If you choose to support this market, check your receipts before you leave the store.
I love little stores like this. Had everything we needed, and the Empanadas and sauces were the best we’ve had.
