About
Palm Beach Inn is a small eight-room inn on a Playa Grande peninsula — beach on one side, estuary on the other, where you can catch a five-minute boat to Tamarindo. Owner Dan is the reason it keeps earning five stars: he opens the on-site market late when guests need it, has driven them to dinner, and keeps the beautiful pool spotless. Rooms are spacious and clean with a balcony and kitchenette, on a quiet, peaceful road.

It was our first time in Costa Rica - we went with a group of 13 to celebrate our anniversary. Dan welcomed us and opened the market- even though it was late- to get what we needed. The rooms were spacious, cozy and clean! The room had a beautiful balcony and kitchenette. We also used the wood grill out by the pool, ate and swam. I felt right at home, felt safe and Dan was amazing. He even drove us to dinner one night!! We had the most amazing time. I would highly recommend Palm Beach Inn. I look forward to returning again in the future.
Great location, close to the beach and located on a quiet road I’ve stayed in the area four or five times and this is the first time staying at this hotel and we’ll definitely be back I had an excellent stay and was genuinely impressed by how well it’s managed. The owner Dan is very involved in the day‑to‑day operations, and you can feel the pride and care in every detail. The facilities were spotless and well maintained, and the location made it easy to get everywhere I needed to go while still feeling relaxed and quiet. The highlight for me was the pool—beautiful, clean, and clearly looked after with extra attention. What really sets this place apart is how far the owner goes for guests. From small thoughtful touches to checking in personally to make sure everything was perfect, the level of service went above and beyond. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well‑run, comfortable, and welcoming hotel. If it matters as well, you can flush toilet paper here whereas most places I’ve stayed you can’t There’s a grocery store on site as well that the owner runs It was closed one day and he opened it just to help us get a few things Highly recommend staying here 😎
What a great gem of a find in Playa Grande. This small 8 room inn was intimate, quiet and peaceful. It felt remote but actually had all the amenities we needed. An excellent restaurant on site and two other high quality restaurants within 1/4 mile -easy walk. The inn is situated on a peninsula with access to beach in one direction, and estuary in other direction where you could catch a boat for a 5 minute ride into Tamarindo. Dan, the owner was so informative, responsive and helpful.
