About
Pangas is Tamarindo's special-occasion table — a manicured, beachfront garden with a famous photogenic tree that draws couples for weddings, coordinated by Elizabeth and her team. The kitchen plates the wahoo carpaccio, tuna tower, ceviche, and octopus with the kind of presentation guests compare to MasterChef, and the beef tenderloin gets remembered long after. Sunset just off the grounds, generous portions, and easy gluten-free options round it out.

We had our wedding here on 11.23.2025. I found their infamous tree on Pinterest just scrolling for pretty back drops. I realized it was part of a restaurant that also accommodated weddings - it was meant to be from the start. They executed our special day so well. The quality of the food, the venue, the service, the bartenders, LITERALLY EVERYTHING was phenomenal. Elizabeth made sure that our special day went on without any issues! They keep their grounds manicured and you feel like you're stepping into paradise when you walk down that sidewalk. Their facilities are very clean as well! Could not have pictured our day any more perfectly. Thank you to Elizabeth, the staff, and Perennial Weddings for a beautiful day!
We love Pangas! The setting is beautiful, the service is excellent, the food is delicious, serving sizes are generous, and value is there. We love the wahoo carpaccio, tuna tower, and ceviche. We also got a mahi dish with added tiny lobster tail. I am gluten free and avoid dairy and it was easy to eat here. We’ll be back again and again.
The food was delicious and the service was great. We walked from our hotel along the beach and enjoyed watching the sunset just outside of the restaurant grounds. I ordered the octopus which was good and my wife got the filet with the hot plate which was amazing. This was one of the best meals we had in Tamarindo.
