Restaurante My Costa Rican Place

So we went out to a late dinner here on I believe our first or second night in Tamarindo. I believe the first. And this was one of the only places on the strip that was open. We were the only customers. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing. This is family owned. There's a play area for kids. The waitresses kids were there running around. Not a problem at all. However there were a group of guys there. Definitely not outside customers, probably family of the workers and they were obviously drinking and feeling themselves and the liquor was hitting as they were playing songs from the 2000's on the big screen and singing loud and obnoxiously. The food was very decently priced and I ordered my food how I wanted. We got a Casado, the typical dish in Costa Rica. But I got the rice the way I like it. It was a good experience and glad we got to grab some grub before nights end.

Great family restaurant. They served us right away. Huge play area for the kids. Very lively atmosphere. Early 2000s hip hop reggae video playing on the dining area TV with some singing along. The Cosados were delicious. Went with the pollo and carne en salsa. For Bebidas, mango and pina.

We had an excellent breakfast here and will definitely return for dinner. It's a great restaurant serving local dishes away from the tourist crowds. The food was fresh and wonderful and the staff was very kind.
