Soda Buffet El Estero is the lunch locals send you to when they want you out of downtown Tamarindo — fresh, rotating meat options in big portions at honest prices, and one of the best Costa Rican breakfasts people had all trip. Erick, the owner, runs it with genuine warmth (his dog Banjo is part of the charm). Cash only, US dollars accepted, with parking.

Hands down one of the best places to grab lunch in Tamarindo! All the food options are fresh, delicious and affordable. I’ve been multiple times over the last year and I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Eric, the owner, is also super friendly. When you experience good customer service, it’s right to highlight it.
Food was great. Good portions for a good price. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Just a heads up that it’s cash only. We didn’t have any cash on us but he was very trusting and allowed us to come back the next day to pay. We came back for breakfast that was the best Costa Rican breakfast I had the whole trip. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for good food at a good price!
Unbelievably fresh. Rotates meat options. I ate there 3 times in my first 3 days. Erick is incredibly attentive and has excellent English. Get out of downtown Tamarindo and come over here to eat! You will NOT be disappointed.
