Taco Star is the beachfront taco-and-cold-beer stop in Playa Grande — steps from the sand and often the only food right on the beach. The menu is small and the combo taco is the one to get, but the sleeper hit everyone agrees on is the banana bread (don't skip the brownie either). Tacos are on the simple side, so come for the location, the cold beers, and that banana bread.

So good! We stopped for a quick bite: we tried all 3 tacos: amazing. I prefer the combo one but they’re all great! We had local beers and even a bowl of fruits that were all fresh, ripe and juicy! Yum!! Can’t wait to go back!

The service was wonderful, and I ended up going every day during my stay in Playa Grande. The beers are cold, the waves are crashing just steps away, and the whole vibe makes this place a true gem of Playa Grande. Highly recommend the combo taco (a must-try!) and don’t miss the banana bread—it’s amazing. Brittany was awesome, and the conversations here felt genuine and real. You’d be missing out if you didn’t stop by Taco Star when you’re in Playa Grande!
