About
A local Tamarindo outfit whose guides — Jose and Delaney among them — book you into off-road ATV runs to private beaches, morning estuary tours with Captain William (crocodiles, iguanas, howler monkeys, herons), kayak trips, and yellowtail-tuna fishing. Guests praise clear communication, an honest heads-up about tides, and the fact that you're supporting an experienced local company rather than a big operator.

We loved this experience! Lots of off-roading with some local Costa Rican daily life mixed in. The beaches were stunning and very private. And we saw multiple groups of Howler Monkeys. We wish we would have done the ATV experience on day one so we knew the area better. Juan was a super kind local that made us feel very special. Our Tamarindo Estuary Tour was a nice relaxing experience. And we learned a ton about local flora and fauna from our boat captain, William. We asked to see a Crocodile and he found us one! Look at that smile! We would do both of these experiences again. Pura Vida! 💚🐊❤️🐵
We had an amazing day fishing for yellow tail tuna, and had such a great time we decided to also do the estuary tour. Both trips were beyond our expectations. The crews were very friendly and knowledgeable. The fishing captain put us on fish and shared local techniques. The estuary tour guide knew all of animals, fauna, and history of the area. I highly recommend Wild Tamarindo.
Keep it local! Why use a big tour operator when you have an experienced local company? They communicate really well and Delaney and Jose speak perfect English, Spanish and French. We went with Captain William on the Wild Tamarindo morning estuary tour. The tides were very low that morning but they had notified us ahead of time that we would need a little later start time. Same with all the operators! It didn’t slow us down a bit. We saw iguanas, crocodiles, heron, ibis, raccoon and howler monkeys. Great to see nature up close in their natural habitat. Our captain was very knowledgeable and explained everything well. The boat had all seating on the outside next to the edge of the boat and only one seat on the interior so everyone had a great view! We highly recommend!
