Coco Beach Hotel

⭐️⭐️ 2/5 – Great location and staff, but the hotel itself is very run down and the “onsite pool” advertised no longer exists. There was an accessible pool about a 10-minute walk away. My family and I stayed here for 6 nights because we wanted a hotel close to the beach with a pool. Unfortunately, the photos did not accurately reflect the condition of the property. Location:⭐⭐⭐⭐ Right in the center of town near restaurants, shops, bakeries, and a short walk to the beach. We always felt safe walking around. Staff:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The front desk staff were extremely kind and helpful. They quickly brought us extra towels, fixed our shower head, and even carried a mini fridge up to our room. Rooms/Property:⭐⭐ The building and rooms felt very run down with broken fixtures, dirty walls, and general wear and tear. Amenities:⭐ The pool is **not onsite** as advertised— the photos online are of a pool that no longer exists! They do have a contract with a pool about a 10-minute walk away which appeared to be under maintenance during our stay, so we never used it. The “free breakfast” is also offsite across the street with very limited options. Overall: The staff and location were great, but if I had known the true condition of the property and that the pool wasn’t actually onsite, I would have chosen to spend a little more for a nicer hotel. I hope management updates the listing to accurately reflect the property and amenities so future guests can make an informed decision.

Absolute dump. I can’t believe this place was offered on Amex as a recommend location. We arrived and the room was absolutely filthy. Toilet seat broken, ants crawling in the sink and up the wall. It looked NOTHING like the photos given to us online when we booked. We ended up leaving and despite saying they’d refund us, they refused to give us our money back. Not a reputable business in the slightest.

The hotel is run down. No charm. We didn't find the pool. The breakfast was really basic. And the street is really busy. Playa Hermosa is much more beautiful. Coco Beach was not beautiful. I wouldnt go back.
