A well deserved break! We were welcomed warmly and offered drinks right away. We did the couples massage and tub experience, the tub was hot and made the experience so very relaxing. There is an announcement to let you know when it’s time to get out of the tub and onto the massage table! It very welcoming and private so you are given due time to prepare and relax prior to the massage. The massage itself was incredible; they offer either deep tissue, relaxing, or a mix of both with a focus on any areas you specify. Overall a wonderful way to decompress.

A hidden gem in Playa del Coco — and they’re just getting started! Salterra Wellness just opened their new Guanacaste location, and I was lucky enough to be one of their early guests. Alexa and her husband have already built a strong reputation in San José, and it’s clear they brought that same level of professionalism and warmth to Coco. I received a dermaplane + HydraFacial combo, and Alexa walked me through every step of the treatment — explaining each layer as she worked. I felt completely at ease the entire time. (Bonus: Taylor Swift was playing in the background and honestly, it was the perfect soundtrack for a facial glow-up. 🎶) The space is beautifully set up for couples, with a private outdoor area featuring a hot tub and shower — romantic, serene, and very well thought out. After my treatment, they graciously let me explore the back of the property, which was gorgeous and peaceful, with tranquil music drifting through the speakers. And as if the day couldn’t get any better — I got to enjoy a private swim as well. What a truly glorious session from start to finish. If you’re in Guanacaste and looking for a luxury spa experience with genuine personal attention, don’t wait. Salterra is the real deal. I’ll definitely be back! 🌿✨

We made a last minute reservation for a couples massage (one deep tissue massage and one lymphatic drainage massage). Upon arrival the owners welcomed us to use the pool and loungers and the hot tub spa to warm up the muscles as we arrived early for our appointments. It was truly relaxing. Once it was time for our massage we were shown to our room which was had a therapeutic and calm vibe. The room had private outdoor shower area the we used to freshener up after the massage. Overall the experience was fantastic and we highly recommend it.
