Sebastian and his grill masters run this steakhouse on fire control and meat that regulars call the best steak in Costa Rica. The Tomahawk and short ribs come up again and again, juicy, tender and generously portioned. The welcome is warm and the team clearly enjoys the work. Come for the beef; the fire is where they shine.

We had heard good things about Steakhouse Sal Y Fuego, so we checked it out last night. Right away Sebastian (owner operator) and his crew of grill masters greet you warmly. We ordered several different items off the menu and all were excellent. The prices were online with what you expect while in Costa Rica and the portions were generous. Very good experience and definitely a place to visit for a delicious steak dinner.
Amazing meat quality, perfectly executed, good salt, no need for anything else! A big wow for me! Absolute control of the fire, awesome knowledge of the meat although the shrimps were way overcooked, it would never let me hold a star back, it is such a great place with knowledgeable staff!! Beautiful staff indeed, lots of love in the place, you can tell by the way the team interact with each other 7/5 experience, would return in a heartbeat!
Best steak in Costa Rica! We’ve been to 4 other 5-star steakhouses all across the country and this one is hands down the best! Sebastian (co-owner) was serving us tonight and he provided us with the best service and hospitality ever - such a nice person! But trust me.. steaks here are juicy and tender.. very very much
