Toucan House

Super nice hosts! Felt very safe, and they didn't try to push all kinds of tours - but did good recommendations for beaches and food. Room was clean and even with shampoo and free coffee/tea in the room. Nice temperature for the shower. The aircon was fine. There's a gate to the property so you can easily leave your car. Very good internet connection and a large covered roof terrace. On the Sunday evening the host did Russian sauna and invited us to try which was a great and special, memorable experience. Great place for the price, definitely recommend, though it's about 15 min walk from the city so we booked ubers.

The rooms are attractive with French doors that you can open to air out. It smelled a little musty but it's to be expected at this time of the year. The place is safe with gates that lock at night. The gentleman host is pleasant and helpful to guide you in the area. It is a little bit further from the beach if you don't have a car. Like many areas it doesn't have street names or door numbers so it's quite hard to find since there's no sign in front of the property. But there's a beautiful toucan at the door :)
