Bahía del Sol Hotel

We stayed 4 nights with two young kids. We got a great room on seconde floor family suites. The stairs were weird. You are passing first over the terras of another room. You can look at some body showering straight though the windows. Beds were more than fine. Spacy rooms. All good. There are two nice dining area's and the food is good. You have a couple of breakfast options, also good taste! The swimming area is ok. The big pool is nice, bar pool is fine but whats out not to Hurt yourself on the elevated part. It only gets dirty quick due to the trees around it. But they clean daily. The pool area can also use some maintenance. All the plaster & paint doesnt look like maintained over last couple of years. Equally with the beds. Too less and one was broken we sit on. A pity. Staff is super friendly, really makes you feel comfortable. Its a nice place place to spent a few days, only with bit more can for maintenance it can feel better. As in the end its not that cheap. Have had better hotels for this money

Overall, our stay had some positives but also a few areas that could definitely be improved. Pros: The parking attendant was honestly one of the best parts of the stay—very friendly and helpful every day. The coffee shop on the property is also definitely worth visiting, and the bakery attached to the hotel (though the front desk said it’s technically separate) had great service and food that was honestly better than the hotel’s free buffet breakfast. The happy hour at the bar was decent as well. Cons: The pool maintenance needs improvement. Several times the pool had a lot of leaves floating in it, which made it feel like it wasn’t being cleaned regularly. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. Our room often wasn’t cleaned until after 12:30 PM, which made it difficult when we came back from being out all morning and just wanted to shower and relax before heading out again. The swim-up summer bar seemed essentially unusable during our stay. There was rarely anyone attending it, and dishes were often left sitting around the bar area. If you’re hoping to buy souvenirs, there really isn’t much nearby, and the hotel’s souvenir shop is pretty limited—more useful for small items you may have forgotten to pack rather than actual gifts or keepsakes. Overall: There are some nice amenities and friendly staff, but the hotel could improve housekeeping timing, pool upkeep, and bar service to make the experience better.

American visitor stayed four nights for our son's wedding. We stayed in room 304 which is on the second floor (beside room 303). I strongly recommend NOT staying in these rooms or rooms near them as the bar across the street plays music, live and karaoke, every night ending anywhere from 11:15 pm to 1:00 am. ThIs was clearly audible even with windows closed. There are other lodging rooms toward the beach which would have been quiet. Food service was excellent. Bed comfortable. Grounds very clean. Customer service excellent. The beach is excellent. The only disappointment was the nearby, late night music from across the street.
