Costa Rica Wet and Wild

Justin is so great to work with! He set up multiple tours for me, my wife, my wife’s brother and sister-in-law. The one specifically I am reviewing here is the kayak fishing out of Potrero. Met Howard, My guide for the Morning, at Las Brisas restaurant. We walked down the beach to the kayaks and out to the bay. We went before sunrise at 5:30 AM! The scenery is beautiful, but that’s not why we’re there. The rooster fish are currently Biting really good, and they both said they hope to get me onto a rooster fish. Mission complete! After fishing close to shore for about an hour, we made our way out to deeper water and put on live bait. About 30 minutes in I got hooked up with a large rooster fish that took me 30 minutes to bring in. Ended up being about a 40 pounder. Right after that, hooked another rooster fish and landed it and that one ended up being about 25 pounds. Caught a 20 pound jack out in the deeper water as well. And multiple smaller fish closer to shore, including barracuda and a mackerel. I cannot say enough about Howard, he was an amazing guy! I have done lots of guided fishing Trips before, but no one served me fresh pineapple that was sliced in the kayak as we were drifting for the big rooster fish! We also took an ATV tour through Justin, and everyone, from our driver who took us to the location to the guides, to the support staff have been nothing but fantastic! If you’re trying to make it a decision who to book for a tour, I cannot recommend Costa Rica Wet and Wild, and Justin’s crew enough!!! Por Vida!

We went to the Cortez Waterfall and to the Las Pumas wildlife sanctuary. We were picked up in Playa Potrero. Transportation was prompt and comfortable, Jonny our guide was very knowledgeable and the included lunch delicious! We loved swimming in the easily accessible falls (75 steps, not bad at all compared to others). Justin was excellent at communicating with us- highly recommended!

My brother and I went on a guided kayak fishing tour with Walter and Logan. They were amazing fisherman and guides who knew exactly where to find the big fish. Together we caught upwards of 20 fish in 3 hours and were able to keep an Angle Jack. They brought along fresh fruit and water for snacks. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for an experienced guide at a reasonable price.
