About
Based in Flamingo Marina, Hook'd runs charters that turn into full-circle days: a bilingual crew stocks the boat with beer, fruit, and good food, stays on the radio with other captains to keep you on the best spots, and then — the detail reviewers love most — your catch goes to Coco Loco, the owner's beachfront restaurant, to be cooked into fresh fish tacos and whole grouper dinners. Repeat visitors book them every trip, and one 14-year-old landed a 100-plus-pound sailfish with the crew's coaching.

Every time we visit Costa Rica, we book a fishing charter with Hook’d—and they never disappoint! From the incredible fishing to the delicious food, it’s always an unforgettable experience. The team goes above and beyond at every step, from seamless booking to expertly preparing your fresh catch. We can’t recommend them enough!
I was thoroughly impressed with this amazing fishing charter! Our group had the most amazing time in the world, and we caught so much fish! These guys are True Professionals, serious anglers! Every time I go to Costa Rica, these are the only guys I call! Definitely 5+++ Stars! I’ll see you next time for sure😎
We arranged a full day fishing with Hook’d on our recent visit to Costa Rica. They are based in Flamingo Marina in Playa Flamingo. An associate of my wife grew up with the owner Jean Luc, and suggested we reach out to him. We are so glad we did. These guys are the best… our captain, Diego, really knows his stuff… all the right spots to visit… he was in constant communication with the other captains out that day trying to make sure we were always in the best spots. I don’t think his 1st mate, Noa, sat down once in the 8 hours we were out there. He was preparing lines, making sure we had everything we needed, then cleaning our fish or the organizing the boat. We limited out on all kinds of grouper and snapper, but the highlight of the day was when my 14yo son caught a 100+lb, 6 1/2’ sailfish….the experience of a lifetime!! And while of course this could never be guaranteed…the work these guys do and the amount of effort they put into our trip certainly increased our odds exponentially. You won’t be disappointed. If you are staying locally, they can prep your fish at Jean Luc’s restaurant Coco Loco, in Flamingo Beach. They took our catch and made us fresh fish tacos, snapper filets and whole grouper meals. It was outstanding, and all on the beautiful beach.
