Margaritaville Beach Resort Playa Flamingo

We have stayed at this resort several times over the past 15 years. We like this resort due to its relatively small size, location on one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica, and exceptional staff. The resort has definitely improved over the years and now with Scott as the new manager the service was even more excellent. This visit we were joined by two adult children with their families. A perfect place to gather together. Two suggestions to make the experience even better: provide more shade at the pool and continue working on improving the food. The food has gotten better over the years but should be stepped up. But the in room coffee is wonderful.

We had a great week at Margaritaville Resort! Our room was clean and the staff was friendly. The location to the ocean was amazing ... right up the road are some cute local shops and the marina. They offered plenty of fun excursions. The hilight of our experience at Margaritaville had to be the service we received at the on site restaurant Cappricios... especially from the service manager Randall! He was so friendly, accommodating and made our dining experience unforgettable... our trip was to celebrate my daughter's graduation and he made it extra special for her with a personalized dessert! A true professional. Costa Rica truly was pura Vida!

First time in Costa Rica, first time in this resort/ hotel. Let me start by saying that I had my doubts at first but oh boy was I in for a surprise. When you first walk in it’s a cozy beautiful entrance because of the beach view you get when you walk in. The only pool you have is perfect , not too small not too big. The bar is fun, ELIAS one of the bartenders at the pool bar is fun makes great drinks, ( don’t forget that the staff here relies on tips so be generous ) I’ve noticed many of the guests will not tip, ( you don’t have to I know) but the service they provide deserves a generous tip. Ok next, the food, I loved the food, there’s three restaurants, they are all good. The Italian, don’t forget to make a reservation early in the mornings otherwise you won’t get in. FABIAN at one of the restaurants ( Five O’clock Somehere) is amazing, kind, courteous and reliable, he always greeted us with a smile when we came in for dinner, FIONA also great smile, and fun. So if you are looking for a small beautiful , good food, ocean front resort this is the place. My sister nephew and I are having a great time. We leave tomorrow but I had to write a review before I forget the names of all the great staff that made this little vacation amazing.
