About
A private sailboat, not a party catamaran — reviewers keep drawing that distinction. Captain Gene and crew like Nick teach a little sailing, watch for wildlife, and keep the pace unhurried; guests report porpoises, jumping rays, seabirds, and a hawksbill turtle swimming past at a quiet beach stop. The food is homemade and generous — fresh fruit, quinoa salad, pico and beans, even a full vegetarian lunch on request. Several travelers named it the highlight of their whole trip.

We had an INCREDIBLE and memorable experience on Seneca with Gene and Nick. They are super laid back and friendly, and provided excellent service on our sail. They taught us a bit about sailing and had their eyes out for wild life. During our time on the boat we were able to see a pod of porpoises, tons of brown footed boobies, some jumping rays and a Hawksbill sea turtle came swimming near us while we were on our stop at a beautiful beach. Our sail included a beautiful snack of freshly cut fruit, homemade quinoa salad, pico and beans. All in all, we HIGHLY recommend this sail. Incredible value! Thanks so much, Gene and Nick!
Seneca Sailing was the highlight of our trip! Jene and Nick were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and attentive, making the entire experience feel special from start to finish. The delicious local cuisine and fresh fruit were such a treat, which a chance to snorkel and the sail itself was an unforgettable experience. I can’t recommend it enough!
A group of 5 of us had a great day on the Seneca in January, 2025. We were looking for a private excursion with a relaxing pace, perfect for a sailboat. Gene and Brad were the highlight of the trip - communication was seamless, and most importantly they were both fun! They make it feel like a luxurious experience, providing drinks (beer, wine, liquor, soda, water) and a delicious spread of food at two points in the day. We did the all day excursion and it was the perfect amount of time. We visited two calm and secluded bays and got to do some snorkeling, swimming and exploring. I would absolutely recommend Seneca Sailing.
