About
A basic, affordable hotel in central Puntarenas with a garden common area reviewers single out as a nice place to sit. Expect simple: some rooms are cramped or worn, a few have shared bathrooms and fans rather than AC, and one or two guests flag maintenance issues. Several still praise how clean the bathrooms are kept. Come for price, not polish.

The place is acceptable, although some rooms are in fair condition. For example, in room 10, where my wife and I stayed, the space was cramped, cockroaches appeared, and the toilet lacked a seat, so the smell lingered in the room after using it. Also, the cable was barely visible. However, it's worth considering because it's reasonably priced and not too bad, and we chose it because we arrived very late that day and wanted to look for a room more comfortably.
It's obviously a basic hotel, but some things are inexcusable: there's no shower, just the pipe; the sink faucet is incredibly flimsy—you have to hold it with one hand to turn it without breaking it. In short, it's a simple hotel with decent service, but very poor value for money.
Excellent service. It's an affordable place. The rooms with shared bathrooms don't have windows because they're inside a large building; they don't have air conditioning but they do have fans. The bathrooms and toilets are always kept very clean. There's a lovely outdoor common area with a beautiful garden that's very pleasant.
