About
Right across from the Paseo de los Turistas and the beach, this marisquería turns out the Puntarenas seafood spread — arroz con camarones, shrimp ceviche, patacones con frijoles, lobster — with staff used to helping English-speaking visitors. Portions and prices draw a crowd; a few find it pricey, but most leave calling it a solid Puntarenas lunch.

I have to be honest. It’s VERY expensive compared to other places. I went on a weeknight when there wasn’t that many people, but it took forever just to get Dompen to ask me for a drink. The food was not the best, kinda disappointed. I ordered octopus and it wasn’t even 1 whole octopus like the menu says, it was 2 of the little ones. It didn’t taste good either.
Food was delicious, staff was very friendly and accommodating for English speaking customers. If you’re in the area and hungry then stop in for a nice meal!
If you're in the area, I would highly recommend this restaurant! Clean, open, good food at very reasonable prices!
